How do you recognize the quality of gratings? Certain quality criterion is the Quality Assurance for gratings RAL-GZ 638. Gratings marked with this regulation fulfil – more than required - the appropriate standards and regulations regarding safety and quality.
Gratings are subject to fixed production and delivery tolerances. Details regarding gratings are restricted to the following:
- bearing bars ≤ 60 mm x 5 mm
- 68 mm maximum pitch and 11 mm minimum pitch
- 2,0 sq.m maximum area of grating, whereby a side dimension should not exceed 2000 mm
| Convex deviation xt max.=1/200th of length for dimension >600 mm; max. 8 mm; smaller dimensions than 600 mm; max. 3 mm
|
| Concave deviation ot max.=1/200th of length for dimension >600 mm; max. 8 mm; smaller dimensions than 600 mm; max. 3 mm
|
| Convex deviation xq max.=1/200th of width for dimension >600 mm; max. 8 mm; smaller dimensions than 600 mm; max. 3 mm
|
| Concave deviation oq max.=1/200th of length for dimension >600 mm; max. 8 mm; smaller dimensions than 600 mm; max. 3 mm
|
| Inclination of bearing bars and binding bars P max. = 0,1 H, but max. 3 mm |
| Upstanding cross bar q max. = 1,5 mm |
| Upstanding binding bar s max. = 1 mm |
| Lower projecting binding bar r max. = 1 mm |
| Cut section of bearing bar and cross bar t max. +/- 0,10 x H, but max. 3 mm |
