Hinges

Hinges are used to connect two gratings or a grating and an angle frame. For example, as a hinged access opening for a shaft. The hinges are welded flush with the top edge of the grating at an opening angle of approx. 90°. Larger opening angles (up to 180° are possible) can cause the hinge to protrude.

Tread strips

Tread strips ensure a safe step. For example, for steep accesses or walkways on conveyor belts or cable cars. The following applies: from a gradient angle of 10° to 24°, tread strips must be used over the entire width of the walkway with gradient-dependent step widths.

For inclined walkways with gradient angles of 6° to 10°, slip-resistant gratings in the R11 rating group are sufficient. The treads can either be welded onto the grating during production and then galvanised, or they can be attached subsequently with the aid of fasteners.

Perforated nosings

Always fitted to our GI-RO grating steps and platform gratings: Perforated nosings. However, these are also available individually in non-galvanised steel. With a width of always 28 mm, you can choose between different heights: 30 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm, 70 mm, 90 mm. The profile leading edge complies at least with slip-resistance rating class R10 according to BGR 181.

Angle frames

Our GI-RO angle frames are individually made to measure and are always adapted to the respective grating size and bearing bar type. They are often used as shoe wipers in entrance areas or for light wells. Our angle frames are available with wall anchors for setting in concrete - depending on the frame thickness with a wall anchor pushed out in the vertical leg of the angle (3 mm frame thickness) or with a welded-on wall anchor (4 and 5 mm frame thickness). Alternatively, the angle frames are also available with countersunk holes.

T-steel

A T-steel can be used as a grating support, displacement protection or as additional frame reinforcement. It is available in different heights, widths and thicknesses.
