Forge-welded gratings –
GI-RO forge-welded gratings can be admired in many industrial production halls. The combination of bearing bar, twisted crossbar and a weld at each point of intersection makes them extremely resilient and durable in any design. Our forge-welded gratings can more than cope with both large point loads and heavy bearing loads.
It is hard to imagine the oil and gas industry, mines and power stations without forge-welded gratings as floor coverings and landings, as well as walkways and stairs.

Technical information
Structure of a GI-RO forge-welded grating
GI-RO forge-welded gratings receive a special one-off overall treatment. We press twisted crossbars into unweakened bearing bars under high pressure, in a single operation. At the same time, we weld all components completely together. This creates an enormously robust end product.

Materials and surface finishes
Our forge-welded gratings are only available in S235JR steel. You can have then delivered raw or hot-dip galvanised in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1461.
Slip resistance
Dirt, oils, grease or water on accessible floor coverings or staircases always mean an increased risk of slipping. Thanks to the twisted crossbars, forge-welded gratings already offer increased slip resistance. If you would like a particularly slip-resistant solution, the bearing bar can be given an additional anti-slip profile.
