Full cell gratings –
for special
visual requirements

In terms of manufacture, GI-RO full-cell gratings are comparable to our pressed-in gratings in that they also allow for a flexible mesh pattern and the use of different bearing bar types. The difference is that bearing bars and crossbars are of identical height. This means our full-cell gratings are optimised for use as decorative and functional design elements for buildings of all kinds.

A functional embellishment - full-cell gratings are often used as railing infill, ceiling grids or sun protection.

Bursting with advantages!

  • Bearing bars and crossbars of equal height
  • Enhanced privacy
  • Light, air and water permeability

Technical information

Structure of a GI-RO full-cell grating

Similar to our pressed-in gratings, GI-RO full-cell gratings consist of parallel bearing bars into which we press transverse bars made of flat steel during the manufacturing process. In this case, the unique feature is that the bearing bars and crossbars are the same height. Finally, our full-cell gratings are also given a flat steel edging.

Materials and surface finishes

Depending on the intended use, our full-cell gratings are available in various materials and with different surface finishes. Simply choose the material that best suits your application. For example, for ceiling grids, solid aluminium grids are often used on account of their low weight.

Material Surface
S235JR steel Hot-dip galvanised, raw/untreated
powder-coated
Stainless steel 1.4301 stained, raw/untreated
Stainless steel 1.4571 stained, raw/untreated
AIMg3 aluminium anodised, powder-coated,

Fixing

For the full cell gratings, a welded-in perforated plate is particularly well suited as a fixing element. This adapts well to the visual demands of full-cell gratings as functional design elements. Gratings are screwed to the construction on site and can thus be mounted easily and safely.
